I know. I needed a garage door repaired and the guy who came out runs a really good family business that I like doing business with. The board was malfunctioning and he followed up with me and said the estimate to repair with a new board was $500+/- and a new linear door opener with new keypad and remote was $690.
And guess what? There are no replacement boards so I have a new door opener. I hope this ends soon although in this case I would have chosen new anyway.
