Do I have a virus

I just opened an e-mail from what appeared to be _junkyarddog and downloaded the attachment after which my computer went ape-shit. After getting the kernel 32 screen gone and backing up (WHICH WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE) everything seems to be normal now.Whats up and why do those damn e-mails with the same type mark on the front seem to come to us that frequent this forum ? If I ever find out postively that its someone who frequents this forum or who it is positively period, I promise you'll be typing a computer with a straw cause I'll paralize your ass ! Homey don't play dat crap !
