I just finished rebuilding my WC windshield. It surely wasn't a real easy task because my frames were in need of a lot of fine welding. There were rot holes everywhere it seemed, took me about a day to weld the whole frame back together so thatI didn't ruin the grooves that hold the rubber gasket in. The screws were hard to get out and I finally made new inserts that the screws go into, it was easier than trying to work with the old ones, just drilling and tapping new holes in new steel stock The glass that my glass shop made almost fit. I made a template but for what reason one pane was slightly bigger and required a little belt sanding on my part in order for it to fit.I then siliconed the glass in place.Other than a lot of time taken so I didn't ruin the new paint job I had given the frame and not break the new glass the job is straight forward. All I can say is I hope you have enough patience. Good luck.
