Swivel frame trucks were converted by an aftermarket company from Vancover. The chassis is cut in two behind the cab and there is a chromoly tube and busshings that connect the two halves of the chassis.
It enables all four wheels to stay on the ground in almost terrain. I have spoken to guys tha opperated these trucks for a living back in the 1950's and they say that they were the most capabile off road vehicle ever built , one guy said they were good for getting in truoble with. He said if you mannaged to get it stuck nothing else was going to be able to get you out. He said you could go places in one of them that you could not get to with a cat( dozer).
11-12 are known to exist currently.
