just read about a guy with this problem in "computeredge" magazine. He shut down everything, than restarted from the cable end, one piece at a time- cable modem first, then his intranet stuff, then his desk top. Seems that each piece of the system has a small computer in it, each gets clogged w/ extra crap. Re-srtart will clear it .
Computer edge is a magazine , distributed in Denver and San Diego, has good stuff in it and is on the web.
