Hello Manny.

The 237 will fit just fine in the M-37 without moving the radiator. The Canadian models had the long block and if you look at your frame at the front motor mount you will see the pad is set up for the long block. Just drill the two holes for the front engine support. You will have to cut a small access slot at that point in the side(ether) of the cross member to get to your bolt. Or add a 2" extension to your engine support and use the old bolt pads.

You will also have to remove the 1" lip on your radiator shroud on the generator side to clear. Make sure to cut it up high enough to be able to see your timing mark with a light.

While your at it check your 237 to see if it has the flywheel that supports the 11" clutch. The 11" clutch is so much superior to the 10" as it is smoother and will last for ever. Uses the same throw out bearing as the 10" and all else is the same.

I have been running the 237 in my M-37 for at least 20 years and I find in all respects to be far better than the 230". Stock it has more HP and Torque and runs much smoother. Especially on the highway. The short stroke motor with the 900x16 tires and 5:83 gears I cruse at 55 to 58 mph. In stock configuration I get 14 MPG. If you want more Horse Power cheep just mill the head and change the compression ratio from 6.5 to 7.5 and/or also put in a Spitfire cam. Short stroke Spitfire! You can also get a cheep one barrel to two barrel carburetor adaptor and make that short stroker really hummmmm... You will also like the larger exhaust pipe and 4 bolt flange.

Sure beats that old clunker 230" every which way and at little expense.

If you have any other questions just e-mail me. Good luck and have fun.

Jackson
