if you have a 700R4 it is the same bellhousing. If yours is non computer it is a simple swap. If 4L60E then you need an adapter. All of the aftermarket transmission guys make them. I have a 400 sb in a jeep wagoneer with a similar setup. Have the tranny checked because a decent 400 is putting out a lot more power than a non-turbo 6.2 and you could shred it. It is easier to spend the money upfront than at roadside.
I was told that some of the diesels use a large block bellhousing, but I don't know if this is true or not.
