hey Junk Yard Dog my heart goes out to ya- I've had similar experiences. Frozen pipes and numb thumbs. I guess they say it builds character. like I need more character. At any rate I recall a big bad Oshkosh Plow truck when i was a boy growing up in Connecticut. One time the V-plow had made a nice notch in the back of a car. Apparently the truck could not stop in time and -"ouch". I think the Oshkosh 4x4 was an ex military hand off as my town had several ex GI trucks. One was a duce tractor with steel plates stacked on the 5th whhe for ballast and they used it for plowing- go figure. They had a fleet of 50's era Diamod T's, B series macks and one nice old 4x4 Autocar. I sure wish I remembered the model. Then they replaced the fleet with R series macks in the late 60's. I sure missed watching the old fleet with the big plows after a big Nor'easter.
