We’ll see how it goes. The insurance company here...I haven’t really ever had an issue with them. When an accident happens, they’ve always been really fair when the other person was found to be at fault. Obviously on any new vehicle there’s depreciation from when you buy it even the day you leave the lot but an insurance company is required to pay you the replacement cost in the event of a total loss...regardless of what you paid. So on a vehicle damaged where it gets accelerated depreciation because of this kind of thing where obviously a vehicle is worth less damaged & repaired than if it hadn’t been damaged...insurance is required to pay that difference...although you have to fight to get it...they don’t like paying it...but they’re going to! :)
See for me even if I had to pay $5k extra...I’m not going to keep a new vehicle that’s had paint work...doesn’t interest me. Gotta go! :) an impact like that...there’s just too many potential problems & so they can be someone else’s problem me thinks :)
