Tim is trying to do the right thing...provide you with what you want.
There are different theories about heating the oil versus the coolant. I don't know if anyone can say which is most efficient.
If the soft plug heater won't work, I would say the lower heater hose is the simplest to install, if you want to heat the coolant.
I have seen some that have a little pump inside that assists in keeping the coolant circulating. These, I believe, go in the heater hose. I saw one on Amazon, if you want to check it out.
