This should help Karl. The stud in the bell housing is 6 o'clock, the hole in the top of the TO sleeve is 12 o'clock position. The spring holes the sleeve in that position and pulls the sleeve back towards the transmission to keep the TO from spinning against the clutch cover. The sleeve has two fork ears, one on each side, that the clutch fork rides against so when you push on the clutch pedal, it pushes the sleeve forward. Make you attach the spring in the sleeve as illustrated to prevent it from coming out.
