You’re absolutely right Keith.
You know, that truck would be great if you owned a demolition company but unless you’re going to send it to the vehicle graveyard, (some call it the museum) then it’s pretty much useless unless you’re that dude whose just gonna drive it around with that silly crap eating grin on your face going from car show to car show but not using it for anything.
I have no problem restraining from buying it...at $98k.
Now the fire trucks are a different story. When they come for sale, nobody bids...they just talk about how nice they are & how fun it would be to drive it in a parade wearing a clown suit with a midget in the passenger seat...but they don’t bid. So guys like me can buy them cheap, strip all the malarkey off & have a real nice low mile, rust free truck to put back into service...after welding up the thousands of holes for all the toggle switches & doo dads.
