i did on my command car. not really a gain over the 3 wire. I figured, less wires, more better. since i literally only have lights a heater and a backup camera, no need to change. there was a diode harness provided in the mounting kit i got from vintage power wagons. i still would like to find an alternator (not a generator) with a power steering pump on the back. or a saginaw mount like chris case did, or ideally a serp belt setup. my setup works so it stays. I need to machine a flat in my ford ps pump. my pulley is only attached with set screws and the fit is poor.
