If your going to repaint, all old paint should be removed, you dont want a chemical reaction between the old and new paint. I used PPG Base/Clear on my 5 trucks, 4 Corvettes and a Diesel CJ-7. PPG Base/Clear is very easy to use and its dependable. Never had one issue with PPG Products.
