Thanks- I hadn’t seen those videos. Russian know-how. Just watched his chain saw technique video and it covers a lot of ground. I like how he explains things. We came to the same conclusion about cutting freehand versus using the Alaskan mill, and I think my dad found something in a book about it too. I’m not real good at it and I’m not an expert at sharpening so that affects the cut, but it has come in handy.
