Hi all,
I received a NP-420 transmission presumably from a late model M37. I am thinking of swapping out my 2nd series gearbox from my 53 B4 and replacing it with my NP 420. I hear that this is a much more robust transmission and is synchromesh 3-4 gear? I have a bell housing which came with my 251 engine. Should the NP 420 bolt up? What is the difference between the GM SM-420 and NP 420? Lastly any online rebuilding guides to use?
