Your trailers had a good reputation for quality.
And, I saw from personal experience how well galvanized trailers hold up in salt water environments.
If I was going to do another complete restoration, I would be tempted to have the frame galvanized, especially if it was going to be a working truck in areas with a lot of moisture and especially road salt.
I would want it black and at a reasonable price like you mention..
But, the big issue to me would be, like others have said, to separate the double frame for it beforehand.
I have never done that before on my three trucks so don’t know much effort it would take.
