funny you should ask that, I have and extra 350 SBC sitting in my garage out of a 1970 corvette and have been thinking the same thing.

I put 400ci SBC into a 1987 Range Rover Classic and love it! I used beefier Jaguar motor mounts to get the motor to sit where I wanted it.

One thing I would do differently next time would be to only swap the motor. I swapped in a turbo 400 with the engine which caused all kinds of issues all the way down the drive line plus all the cabin changes for the new transmission.

It is much simpler to get a custom engine-to-transmission adapter made if one doesn't already exist than to change the mounting and drive shafts not to mention gear ratios.
