Retirement -- never -- you need a daily purpose, family, hobbies, charities, community, or continue to work part time.
I find that I really need more people to interact with and need more things to do.
Hunting vacations -- after you take off 3 months then what do you do. The senior pass for the National parks is worth buying -- $100 for life - you can see them all!
I like cars and guns and real estate and working in the woods. My Dad at 89 still mowed the lawn and called it his personal trainer. Buy good tools -- do as much as you can -- keep moving ! Cheers - it is nice not being responsible to a calendar or to meetings - you only go to the ones you want to. Blessings -- Don't be a couch potatoe -- I get out everyday.
