if I was going do do electronic over dual point I would go with an MSD or accell with remote mounted coil. stock HEI on factory GM cars wasn't that reliable and every time a plug wired got a break it would fry the module. the aftermarket might be tougher. I just kind of don't like the coil being on the dist. big ugly monstrosity. ;/)
you'd probably get more HP with properly set up dual point.
