That’s a good question. One I had previously considered.
So I did try that; I bought one that was marketed for that purpose. It lasted one season, with little use, then died.
Tom P said if I recall these devices don’t last due to the amps going through them for heater blower use?
Also fan spins faster with 12 volts?
