You are talking about a Honeycomb Radiator Core. . Yes, very very expensive to make. The talk on these cores is that they are more efficient at cooling than the Tube and Fin type. I talked to a Radiator Shop guy here in town who’s been doing this for over 50 years about the cooling efficiency of HC vs T&F. He said it is negligible. Thing is you can rod out a T&F cored radiator. Once a HC cored radiator is plugged you are out of luck if boiling it out does not work. Yes, they have the “Look” over a T&F radiator And that’s about it.
