Plan on removing the entire rear casting. You will probably have to reshim the bearings because the old gear and the new are probably not exactly the same width. The 15 loose roller bearings that Vaughn mentioned will probably stay in the bore of the driven gear. They are held in by a small retaining ring, and I've never had them fall out.
