generator the least amount of work. bolts in and just ad resistors to any electric gauges. I prefer generators in an offroad vehicle because if the battery fails or is completely dead a generator truck can still be compression started. cant with alternator. generators dont need a battery at all to run the vehicle like an alt does
I have seen batteries fail on the trail more than once. only happened to me once in my WC54. battery fried. was a cheapo I think. drove it home after comp start.
