The alternator is the cheapest way to go. Cost:
- 63amp. (R111621A) see PIF, electrical, "f" $57
- 5/8 wide pulley $15
- Generator to alternator conversion bracket $50
- I suggest wiring for 4 post solenoid an button starter switch $50
- Ballast resister $16
- 50 amp amp gauge $75
- 12v to six volt reducer for fuel gauge $15
- Four seasons 12v heater motor $75
Generator/regulator alone your looking at $600
These are the main pieces, lights aren't to expensive. PIF has links to parts. I would go with an alternator unless keeping the truck original looking is an issue for you.
