A little while back I started a thread on removing the rear leaf springs from my B4. As it turned out, after easily pulling out the front pins I decided to remove the rear spring shackle while still attached to the spring. This was easy since there is a small hole in the frame rail allowing access to the shackle pin. It came out easy with a couple of taps with a punch and hammer. For the right side I had to remove the gas tank to gain access. No big deal since I wanted to take out the tank anyway. I discovered there is considerable wear in the shackle hole (slightly egg shaped). I am now in need of two rear spring shackles for my truck.... Any offers?
