Often caused by overheating in the fuel line between the pump and the carb. Some trucks are missing the heat shield, some the pipe is routed wrong and some just get too hot under the hood. You could try a temporary rubber fuel line routed from pump to fender, then to carb keeping it as far from the manifold as possible and see if that cures the problem.
