I believe the Gold Seal head was just a marketing ploy by Chrysler. The only other Gold Seal head was the Aluminum head. That one was a higher compression head than the cast iron Gold Seal head. I have one that has been checked out and machined. One day I hope to install it on my IND-7(236) which is installed in my WC-12(Salad). The Spitfire embossed head was the next marketing ploy by Chrysler. I have this head installed at the moment on the IND-7. It came out of a 1941 Chrysler that had a 241 motor. By installing this head on my IND-7, I increased the compression some being that the 241 has a 3&3/8” bore vs the IND-7(236) which has a 3&7/16” bore.
