Check with the part suppliers to see what frames are being sold for so you get an idea of cost. Look for frames outside the rust belt i.e., south west so you can get a fairly rust free frame, VPW may have some. Make sure you get pictures to view if you can't see personally. Once you buy a frame, have it check for straightness by an auto body shop. The link is another place to check. The original frame is chromoly steel, any welding, heating of it weakens it even if you do use chromoly steel to repair it. Better off finding a frame.
