Thanks, this is helpful info on when they fail.

What I am trying to figure out is how to properly bench test the voltage limiter.

I know that I apply 12V go the ignition input, i am expecting approx. 5V on the output.

Two questions...

1. Does the voltage limiter itself need to be grounded.

2. Does there need to be a current draw on a load in order to get the proper reading?

I have ordered two new ones... one for the vehicle and one to play around with on the bench.
