ive got a 1972 dodge power wagon sales brochure,it lists W100,200,300,and W600..it seems as if i hear about the W500's being the big boys during the mid-late 60's,that leads me to believe that the W600 replaced the W500's in the early 70's.the picture i have shows the W600 as the older 61-71 body style ,rather than the newer 72 and up style that the W100-W300 adopted.the brochure lists wheelbases of 157" and 175",GVW of 20,000 lbs,318-3 engine,np435(wide ratio)4spd,2 lever,2 spd T-case,8.25-20 10 ply tires,6 lug wheels,6.80-1 axle ratios,17,000 lb rear axle,7500 lb front axle, etc.not a lot of options listed,an np540 5 spd, some larger brakes,a larger clutch, heavier rated springs, etc. i hope this info helps,Bob
