After rebuilding my trans., I installed a different gearshift lever housing that used some different length bolts. I though I was ok using one of the long bolts on the right rear of the trans. since it was a raise bolt port, well I was wrong. Got home one day last week, parked the truck, opened the garage, shifted into first to drive in - Locked up!! I couldn't shift, truck wouldn't move, I mean locked. I popped the clutch, truck broke free and I drive in. Today I tore it down and when I was removing the right rear bolt, it turned as though it was slightly bent, it was and worn. Not sure if a piece broke off or just got jammed from wearing against the 1st gear. Checking the gear, all looks good, so I'm off to get new bolts. Anyway make sure your bolts are correct length when interchanging parts - bummer.
