Tim beat me to it, yes you are correct this is the clunker gear from an NP201. The case that it is in has a few hundred miles on it since the welding. I bet the gear Tim welded for his truck has several thousand miles on it now.
The 201 case in dads w100 has a solid gear from an np200, along with a whole bunch of other new parts. Knowing how much work we have done to that case at this point an np205 may have been a better option....
