Hi Jerry, if you can post the grade of hardened steel you have available, original plow material you want to weld to, and what welding rods / wire you have I can write you a weld procedure. Given the grade of hardened steel you may need to preheat as to not cause cracking and may need to post weld heat treat to harden the plate after welding. Another option is to overlay your existing blade (or piece of carbon steel) with a chrome carbide or stellite (1 or 6) overlay. Would be very interested in seeing a few pictures of your vplow.
