Thanks everyone. I had looked at CL and HF and done some searching for reviews and everything you mentioned was spot on. My one takeaway from a lot of the reviews is to buy a four wheel support versus the three wheel because the three point can be tippy while moving the stand. Second was to buy more than you required because the "heavy duty - 1500+" units rotate more freely.
Also, thanks Paul for the photo and I have a complete (with swiss cheese holes) rolling 1946 pw frame with engine and driveline and my plan is to cut that down in length and have it as a test stand. Now let's see - when am I going to get that done?
