Pretty much all the engine stands are identical unless you get into the bigger expensive units used for the bigger Diesel engines etc. Our engines are extremely light duty in the engine world so unless you plan on getting into big trucks...look for the cheapest engine stand money can buy. These things are super basic & they’re out there for like $100 that will do anything you want to do with virtually any gas car/light truck engine.
I hate crap from Harbour Freight etc but here’s an item that has no hydraulics or fancy machined parts...a Harbour Freight engine stand will work fine for the average car guy. I have 2 or 3 & I’ve never had an issue with any of them.
