I use the blue tarp(actually brown on one side, silver on the other) from HD over a carport framework for my "shop". The tarp shields rain for about a year, then wear from UV light makes it a throw away.
Putting the tarp directly on top of truck started rust immediately from trapped moisture, so I am led to believe they are not 100% waterproof as they claim.
What does one expect from "over the pond" commodities?
