It depends on the quality. I have an orange tarp I have used for over 15 years. It works great and doesn't leak. I paid a lot for it.
Most of the blue ones are good for maybe one or two seasons, then they are throw-aways.
I found mine through a source that sells tarps for long-haul truckers.
