25 years ago I was thinking about doing this to the 251 in my '62 WM300. That project never got off the ground, so it's been fun to help my son on this project.

As for durability, I'm sure the power train will be okay. On paper we are generating a max of 165 hp and 310 ft/lb torque. As for engine durability, from what I've read the Dodge flatheads are well suited for a mild turbo boost. Their main weakness is they don't breathe well. Add to that their low compression ratio, and a turbo seems to be an obvious option. The two things to avoid are detonation and high EGTs. We haven't had problems with detonation, but EGTs seem to be on the high side (1300-1400 deg). We need to figure that out soon.
