I live near Torrance, but do most of my own work on my Dodge Trucks and 70 Cuda. So, I go to places like Vellio's machine shop, in Lawndale, for things like cylinder head work or pressing in bearings. That said, I have had good experiences with Hot Rod Performance, in Torrance. I deal with Mark, the owner, to buy parts and race fuel. he's trustworthy and honest and also works on cars. I have friends who have Mark work on their cars. As a mostly one-man shop, he is often too back-logged, but he may offer good referrals. Some of the guys in my Mopar club (who own mostly 60's and 70's muscle cars) like Engine Dynamics in Baldwin Park, but that's more than an hour drive from Torrance. What exactly is the car and what does it need?
