I would save the energy and money involved in an electric winch and put the real thing on it.I put a Warn winch on the first four wheel drive I bought in 1968. After I got the truck stuck and the winch failed to pull it out, I ordered a PTO winch. I've owned at least 20 four wheel drives with pto winches since that first one.
Putting an electric winch on a nice four wheel drive is like mixing Coca Cola with 20 year old Scotch.
However, if you simply don't want to do pto, consider one of the Hydraulic winches out there. Warn makes one. Mile Marker makes one. Other companies as well. The down side to the Mile Marker (I have one on my '06 1500 CTD) is it runs off the vehicle's power steering pump.
