I have no current experience with Auto Repair Shops in CA but in doing a Search on BBB for Car Restoration Shops near Los Angeles CA I came up with several with A+ ratings.
I also did an internet search for Vintage Car Clubs in CA. I got several hits.
Maybe these will be a start.
