I dont know what piston material the newer Corvettes used. However Stainless Steel Brake Corporation sells SS lined calipers and offers SS
pistons if you choose. They make no mention about them being mandatory. The Corvettes I have owned since 1973 have always had the
calipers sleeved with SS, and I always used the Aluminum Pistons with no issues whatsoever
