See if you sleeve with stainless then you have the best of both worlds. You know that nasty you find in a 20yr old wheel cylinder that’s not been used...well that nasty is the reaction between the brake fluid & the cast iron. So once you introduce aluminum in the case of aluminum pistons...well that’s an even bigger mess of corrosion because the aluminum also reacts with the iron. So you sleeve with brass or stainless...problem solved. I prefer stainless. No corrosion & ive never had one leak no matter how long it’s sat...no silicone fluid needed.
