I did not say it was impossible with the steering box, only a challenge.
You could use a "high sweep" header, much like the old 50's hot rod type, or you can use the stock cast manifold and cut a 45* between the middle exhaust ports and the end port, then reverse the piece and braze or cast iron weld back together. Will look like a sideways "S" when done.
