4-53 or 6v53. 4-71 is very heavy for the power.
The 53 series have been swapped into pickup trucks many times. A W500 is likely big enough to handle the 6v53 with aplomb but the 4-53 is the most commonly swapped Detroit. A 4-53T with the fairly rare Jacobs brake(the real one, not the flapper valve) setup would be the "bees knees" for a 2-stroke enthusiast in a W500.
