Found a guy selling a good running flathead 6 cylinder.
Because the one picture showed a “spitfire” head on it , it immediately drew my attention.
After asking for serial numbers I got this:
C28-81649
Now according to the link I have this is
For a car. Of 1941 vintage. And it’s being sold as a 1941 Chrysler Windsor.
Fine.. all adds up so far.
But the link I have does NOT specify if it’s a 230 or 251 or other.
I asked seller to measure head. It’s 25” long
But... wasn’t there a number of 230 or even 218 engines that were 25” long?
I only want this so I can put ( maybe some day)
A larger 251 or 265 in my truck.
If this is one of them oddball smaller displacement engines that were 25” long I have no interest
Anyone able to tell me more?
