I have seen a lot of nice cars and trucks at car shows over the years. Some of them I call 90 to 95% cars. Whoever built them did a tremendous amount of work and really brought the car back from the dead. Then they seem to have run out of steam at the end and you can see some issues that make you cringe. Things like not fully sanding out the high build sanding primer. Most of the car is very smooth then you see areas, usually the doors and fenders, that were not sanded smooth before they shot the final color. Ugh, they were so close.

This truck has several tell tale issues. I have no problem with someone not doing a totally correct restoration. They at least saved the truck. Sometimes they don’t know what it was originally. Other times they leave something bent, like this trucks bumper. Maybe they don’t have the tools, knowledge or funds to do the last little bit. It would be interesting to look at this truck in person to see what else didn’t quite get done.
