i have found if you have a clean tank and new lines, the fuel is not an issue, no matter how long it sits. my command car got a NOS tank that i promptly had renued. I ran new lines and abandoned the zenith filter that was cast iron in the inside. i run a screw on fram filter in line and have a newly rebuilt fuel pump. never an issue. i think when the crap gas teams up with a dirty tank, suspect hose or filter, you then get problems.....
