Yes, the 315 Dodge bell housing is the one to
use unless you find one from a Dodge truck
that came with a hemi. Most would be old farm
trucks unless you find a 58 331 or 354 over
the road tractor. All hemi bell housing bolt
patterns are the same, doesn't matter, Dodge,
Chrysler, Desoto. The early 315 Dodge PU
315 is a poly block for the Dodge 315 Hemi
car engine so the bell is the same and easier
to find. You will need a NP420 to run behind
and preferably from a ffpw for the PTO port
on the driver side for the winch. The small Dodge and Desoto fit the easiest because of
their size but the big Chrysler's are doable
with a little more engineering. If you find
a 315 Dodge poly from a PU you can convert
to a hemi by changing the heads to hemi heads. The 315 has a stronger bottom, larger
bearing then the 241 or 270. Check out Hot
